So this weekend the entire gang was with us : )
Berkeley & Elle even asked if they could stay home from their planned visit, just so they could see the kids.
I am still amazed at how well they all get along together.
It was a very nice relaxing weekend.
Friday night I took Abby, Berkeley & Elle, and we went shopping and had our nails done. Then we came home, and Doug had picked up Alec & Meg.
We grilled out steaks, and made baked potatoes, steamed broccoli, cottage cheese & tomatoes. It was very good.
Also I made a raspberry cheesecake. I got the recipe from one of my favorite cooks, Ina Garten. I live Ina! My best girlfriend Lauren Babbs had made one last year, and it was awesome. I was intimidated at first, but not anymore.
The kids LOVED IT! It was all gone by the end of the weekend.
Saturday night we went to the movies and saw Alice in Wonderland!
I think I was more excited than the kids :)
It was really good.
I have been looking forward to this movie since I found out that tim Burton was directing it.
Favorite director, favorite actor, ( Johnny Depp ) and my favorite children's movie.
I knew it couldn't get any better !
Then we went to Steak N Shake for dinner.
It was - well Steak N Shake.
Sunday we did nothing !!!!!
We did grill lunch since the weather was so nice.
But that is it !
We laid around and watched movies.
It was a good day to do that since it started raining.
Everyone was a little lazy, and that is okay.

A great weekend !
Last weekend was a grear and much needed relaxing weekend.
On Friday night Doug and I had a few of our friends over.
We made food, drinks, and played some fun games.
I new game we played is claled "Things" it was hilarious!
We had a really good time with Phil, Laura Mel,Asa, and Christa.
On Saturday Doug and I took Berkeley & Elle out on a family date : )
We went up to Tuscola and Champaign for some shopping.
Then went out for dinner at Berk & Elle's favorite place - Red Lobster.
Afterwards, we just headed home and went to bed.
On Sunday both Berkeley & Elle had friends over.
Berk had one of her oldest friends over LOL Jazlynn, they have been friends since they were babies. Jazlyn's mom Tammy was Berk & Elle's daycare provider from the time they were born until they went to school.
Elley had best friend Katherine over.
**We invited Alec & Abby, but they were with their mother this weekend.
We took all four girls, and went & met Melissa, Asa, Kambell, Shayanna, Phil, Laura and Ethan.
We took them bowling at the EIU union. It is so much better than Charleston Lanes. So much cleaner and less people. We had it all to ourselves !
They guys went and picked up pizza and bread sticks. So we had a early dinner.
When we left it was still early - only around 6 and with dinner out of the way.
We decided to go rent some movies, and go by the store and pick up some stuff to make sundaes ! So we went home and got out PJ'S on, made sundaes, and watched movies.
Everyone had a great weekend! It was a very relaxing and very good weekend.
This coming up weekend. Alec,Abby & Megan wil be with us : )
I am pre-ordering movie tickets to ALic in Wonderland for Friday night !
I cnanot wait for all of us to go.

Mini-Vacation
So this weekend we took the kids on a mini get-a-way vacation.
Nothing fancy, just wanted to get out of the house and do something fun.
We are all getting a touch of cabin fever from our long winter.
So we surprised the kids.
Packed everyone up, didn't tell anyone where we were going and headed off !
We went to Peoria for the weekend. There is a lot of family things to do up there.
So we stayed at Embassy Suites.
I had a more eventful weekend planned, Zoo, museums, Kartville, shopping, spa, etc.
The weather of course did not work in my favor. And actually the kids just wanted to really hang out at the pool, go out to eat, and shop. So that what we did !
On Friday I took them to my favorite Italian place Avanti's!
So good ! Puts them all to shame - even Biaggi's.
If you haven't been, you need to go.
Then went back to the hotel and swam and spa'd it up !
On Saturday, everyone got up with no issues.
We all went down and had a great breakfast.
When we finished we went back up to the room to get ready for the day.
Then we were off to the mall. Yeah !
I refer to Berkeley, Abby & Elle as ( the little girls ) because Meg is hardly a little girl.
She is a young woman - who looks more like supermodel.
We went to Build-A-Bear first.
Berk built herself a bunny and named her Victoria, Abby built a bear and named him Snuggles, and Elle built herself a dog named Brownie.
The little girls INSISTED that we go to JUSTICE next.
Little girls are completely obsessed with this store !
I then explained to the little girls that they were done in the shopping dept.
Next I let Alec and Megan chose where they would like to go.
First we went to Aero. Both Meg & Alec found some really nice items.
We needed to get Alec some shirts so we headed to his favorite store AE.
We were actually lucky and hit sales at each store.
We we finished shopping we headed back to our hotel for some down time.
Relaxed and watched the Illini game in our room. Afterwards we took the kids to Joe's Crab Shack. THEY LOVED IT! We all enjoy seafood, and Joe's is great to take kids too because of the kids friendly atmosphere. They thought it was awesome.
Full and getting tired we headed back to the hotel for the night.
I took the little girls swimming, while Doug, Meg, and Alec headed for the office, to get online.
By the time the pool closed it was 11pm and the little girls were ready to sleep !
We all turned in and crashed.
The next day we grabbed some breakfast downstairs. Then Doug took the kids to the pool, while I headed upstairs to pack everyone up. We headed out around noon. On our way out of Peoria we had to stop at one of the coolest places before we left.

They loved it !

So now I am thinking of where to go this Spring. . .
I am up for suggestions.
No need to suggest Chicago or St.Louis as we have all been there many times.
They are both awesome places! Just thinking about going other places to see what else is out there.

I am a loan officer for Heights Finance Corp and have been for the last 5 years.
Doug works for Coca~Cola Enterprises as an account liaison.
Together we have 5 children. Yes 5 !
We call ourselves the Brady's !
Our oldest is Megan - 14
Then Alec - 12
Berkeley - 10
Abby -10
Elle - 6
Alec is our only boy - surrounded by a houseful of estrogen.
Megan attends high school at the University of Illinois in Campaign.
Alec is in Jr high and plays most all sports.
Basketball, baseball, football. He is really good at all of them.
That goes with out saying Alec is a really good kid !
Berkeley & Abby are both in 4Th grade.
They both enjoy singing, dancing, make-up, cell phones, making plays & skits.
Elle - she is a true girlie-girl, always changing her clothes, putting her make-up on all the time!
